Chokling ArtHouse - The Treasure of Himalayas

I will definitely recommend to stay in this place to the ones coming to bir. All facilities here are top notch. Dorms are bigger than other places, very clean, provide bathroom essentials, wifi is stable. They do have a kitchen providing good food with a large cafeteria. This place is less than 4 min walk from the main road but once you reach here this is one of the calmest place in bir. Chokling monastery is directly opposite, one of the must visit places. Go to the terrace to get the best sunset views. The front office guy can be a little more cordial.

If you are looking for a spiritual experience and peace this is your place, as it's right next to the Chockling monastery you can feel the positive energy flowing in with the chants, a very beautiful view of the monastery and sunset from the room itself and amazing cleanliness I would say. It was also because people in the form were all spiritual people who were very aware of how to maintain cleanliness at all times. Please don't go if you are looking for party vibes or drinking it's not a place for that, let it remain peaceful and respectful.

Mixed feelings about this beautiful property located in the Tibetan Colony near Bir. The room was excellent, it was clean, spacious, good TV and WiFi, really comfortable bed and super quiet at night. Imran at reception was excellent, a wealth of knowledge and very friendly at all times.

The location could not be better. The room I had was comfortable and spacious. Although originally presented as a room to sleep three, two were all it could have held comfortably. I ended having it to myself, though, and it was perfect. With a sofa and two chairs it became a gathering place for the others of my group staying there. Perfect.

This is an a lovely location, in the heart of Bir colony but down a quiet lane with wonderful views to the frosted mountains and the monastery with its line of stupas and mani stones. The staff are especially warm, friendly, helpful & the manager was exceptionally understanding, patient & practically helpful regarding a banking error that affected my online payment. I had a room with mountain views for the first week and then a room on the East side which was shaded and quiter and cosy, both had huge comfy beds & nice arty decor. The rooms are very spacious and the outside verandah is too with plenty of seating plus a large sunny rootop cafe area. Guests were mostly paragliders and some pilgrims touring monasteries and courses, & the atmosphere was friendly and relaxed.
